Champions Medeama land Emmanuel Annor in major transfer coup
Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC have completed the signing of highly-rated winger Emmanuel Annor from Nations FC, securing one of the most sought-after players in the domestic game ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The exciting attacker has signed a three-year contract, keeping him at the Tarkwa-based club until 2029, as Medeama continue to strengthen their squad for the defence of their Premier League crown and their return to the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League.
Head coach Ibrahim Tanko identified Annor as a key addition to his squad, with the winger expected to inject pace, creativity and attacking quality into an already talented side as the champions prepare for the demands of domestic and continental football.
In announcing the signing, Medeama hailed their newest recruit as one of the Ghana Premier League’s standout performers.
“Annor arrives in Tarkwa following another impressive campaign in which he further enhanced his reputation as one of the Ghana Premier League’s most dangerous attacking players. Renowned for his blistering pace, direct running, creativity and eye for goal, the FA Cup winner is expected to add another exciting dimension to Head Coach Ibrahim Tanko’s attacking options as the club prepares to defend its league title and compete in the 2026/27 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League,” the club said.
An elated Annor described the move as the fulfilment of a long-held ambition, revealing that a transfer to Medeama had almost materialised two years ago.
“I am incredibly happy to finally become a Medeama player. This move almost happened two years ago, so to finally be here is a dream fulfilled. I thank God, the management of Medeama and everyone who worked hard to make this transfer possible,” he told the club’s website.
The winger also expressed his excitement about linking up with Medeama’s emerging stars, including youngster Kelvin Nkrumah, and promised supporters they would see an even better version of him.
“I have admired what Medeama has built over the years, and I can’t wait to play alongside players like Kelvin Nkrumah. I believe together we can form one of the most exciting attacking partnerships in the league. The fans have seen Emmanuel Annor from a distance; now they will see an improved, more determined and more complete player wearing the Mauve and Yellow.”
Medeama’s acquisition of Annor is understood to have come after they successfully fended off strong late interest from Aduana FC, sealing a significant transfer victory in the race for one of Ghana’s most exciting attacking talents.
The signing underlines Medeama’s ambition to remain a dominant force in Ghanaian football while building a squad capable of making a strong impression on the continental stage.
