WAF B U-17 Championships: We are fully prepared for Ivory Coast game – Black Starlets captain Ernest Ofori

Deputy captain of the Black Starlets, Ernest Ofori, says his side are ready for their game against Ivory Coast today, September 23.

Ghana opened their WAFU B U-17 Championships with a 1-1 draw against Togo.

Prosper Narteh Ogum’s side will face the hosts nation at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium.

Ofori, who started the game against Togo, is confident of a good game against the Ivorians.

“We’re fully prepared for Ivory Coast,” he said during Monday’s press conference.

“We know what is at stake, and we’ve worked hard in training to put ourselves in a good position to win. All we will need to do is to be tactically disciplined, and the job against Ivory Coast will be easier.”

Cote d’Ivoire currently sit top of Group A after their 2-0 win over Niger in the opening game of the tournament.

A win for Ghana could take them above the Ivorians ahead of their final Group A game on Friday, September 26.

Kick off for the game is scheduled at 18:00 GMT.
