Public Relations Officer of Aduana Stars Evans Oppong ‘Maestro’ has disclosed in interview with Wontumi radio in Kumasi that, the entire team of Aduana Stars have thrown their full support to defender Farouk Adams after the unfortunate incident last Monday night.

The stalwart centre back is currently in Police custody after being alleged to have knocked down a police officer on a motorbike to death with his red Toyota Corola, an incident that occurred around 7pm at Wamfie en route to Dormaa.

According to the Spokesperson, the management of the club decided to pay him a visit after been propounded by the police but received an advice from the various security personnel who asked them to reschedule the date due to the tension at police station on Tuesday.

However, he confirmed the entire team of Aduana Stars will all be present at the Wamfie Police Station this morning to motivate the player and show they are fully behind him.

Farouk Adams will be presented to the Wamfie Magistrate Court this morning for ruling but reports indicates the case is likely to be pushed to either Berekum or Sunyani. He said;

“The entire team of Aduana Stars are on our way to Wamfie Police station to him our love and support. It is very sad cos he is one of our integral players winning MOTM in our last game.

“He will be presented before the court at 10am today and might spent another two weeks in jail. It is a very sad and we wish him all the best in this difficult moment.

He concluded by sending their condolences to the family of Constable Amos Maatey, the young officer who sadly perished after the incident.
