Prior to the Ashanti Derby this weekend, Ashantigold SC assistant coach Thomas Duah has disclosed the current Kotoko team are not performing better than his side in the league.

The two teams will combat each other over the weekend in a herculean clash at the Len Clay Stadium in week 11 of the ongoing campaign.

In his interview with Kumasi-based Otec FM, Thomas Duah acknowledged the fact that Kotoko is the biggest among the two but stated they ain’t doing better than his boys looking at their recent output in the league.
He said; “Asante Kotoko is a big club. I have been watching their games off late, they play good football their recent performance isn’t above us.”
Both teams currently hold 16 points each with the goal difference placing the Miners ahead of the Porcupine Warriors on the league log.
The ‘Aboa Kese3’ outfit have four wins, four draws and two loses against Bechem and Legon Cities whereas ‘Kum Apem’ lads boast of same form after the first 10 matches with their defeats coming against Great Olympics and Aduana Stars last Sunday night.
The much anticipated ‘Ashanti Derby’ is scheduled for Sunday at the Len Clay Stadium at 1500GMT/ 3:00pm.
