Nations FC announce transfer of defender Razak Simpson to Finnish outfit Vasa Palloseura
Ghanaian outfit Nations FC have announced the transfer of dependable defender Razak Simpson to Finnish top-flight side Vasa Palloseura in the current transfer window.

Simpson, who recently featured for the Black Stars joins Vasa Palloseura on a permanent deal, marking a significant step in his football career.
“Nations FC is pleased to announce the permanent transfer of Razak Simpson to Finnish top-flight side Vasa Palloseura (VPS). We are proud of everything Razak achieved in our colours and wish him every success in Finland,” wrote the club.
The highly-rated centre-back established himself as a key figure for Nations FC after joining the club in August 2023 from the West African Football Academy (WAFA). Before his move to Abrankese, Simpson had spells with AshantiGold and Liberty Professionals, where he continued to develop his game and gain valuable experience.
During his time with Nations FC, Simpson made 89 appearances across all competitions, scoring nine goals. In total, the enterprising defender featured in 116 domestic matches across spells with WAFA, AshantiGold, Liberty Professionals and Nations FC, while also registering nine goals.
His commanding presence, strength, and solid defensive style quickly caught the attention of the Black Stars technical team, earning him his first Ghana call-up for an AFCON qualifier against Angola in November 2024.
Since making his debut, Simpson has earned six caps for the Black Stars and notably featured in the 2025 Unity Cup in London, where he scored in Ghana’s emphatic 4-0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago.
Comfortable at centre-back and equally capable of operating as a defensive midfielder, the versatile defender is expected to add quality and stability to the Vasa Palloseura backline as the club continues its campaign in the Veikkausliiga season.
