FAITH GROUP OF COMPANIES COMMISSIONS TWO BOREHOLES FOR DAKPEMA AND NALUNG COMMUNITIES

Faith Group of Companies has commissioned and handed over two borehole facilities to residents of Dakpema and Nalung Fong in the Tamale Metropolis as part of its corporate social responsibility.

The company says the intervention is aimed at improving access to safe and reliable water while supporting communities affected by persistent water challenges.

The two borehole projects are expected to provide residents of Dakpema and Nalung with improved access to potable water and help reduce the burden associated with accessing water for domestic use.

Speaking in an interview with Fiila News, the Chief Executive Officer of Faith Group of Companies, David Owusu Yentumi, said the company selected the community close to its head office for one of the projects as part of efforts to support its immediate environment.

He explained that the company later extended the intervention to Nalung after a geological assessment identified a promising water table in the area.

According to Mr. Yentumi, the borehole at Nalung has significant capacity and is capable of serving hundreds of people daily.

He said the company’s decision to invest in water projects was also motivated by the persistent water challenges facing Tamale and surrounding communities.

Mr. Yentumi said providing access to safe water is one of the meaningful ways the company can respond to critical needs within its host communities.

Mr. Yentumi stressed the company’s commitment to supporting communities through its corporate social responsibility initiatives.

He said Faith Group of Companies intends to undertake more development projects in other communities, indicating that the company plans to implement at least two additional projects before the end of the year.

He added that the company will continue to explore other ways of positively impacting the lives of people across Dagbon.

The residents of Dakpema and Nalung are expected to benefit from the improved access to potable water, with the projects contributing to efforts to address water challenges and improve living conditions in the two communities.
