Beating Fenerbache is a positive for us, says Athletic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams

The Spanish side recorded a 2-0 win against the Turkish side on Wednesday night with the Ghana international scoring on the 5th and 45th minute.

The win has propelled Bilbao to the top of the Europa League log with 16 points after six points and remain unbeaten.

Speaking after the win, Williams reflected on winning in a tough ground.

“The truth is that coming to Turkey and getting this result is very positive for us. We are happy that thousands of fans joined and we hope that you have enjoyed today…because it has been tough. It couldn’t work out better. I think that in the end, going 2-0 up always weakens the opposing team,” he said.

“We knew that coming here to Turkey was going to be complicated. “I think the team has played a great game in general,” he added.

Inaki Williams, who has scored eight goals in all competitions will hope to keep his impressive form intact when Athletic Bilbao travel to play Alaves in the Spanish La Liga on Sunday.
