WAFCON 2024: Black Queens midfielder Alice Kusi in race for top scorer award
Black Queens midfielder Alice Kusi is currently part of the players in the race for the top scorer award at the 2024 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The ongoing tournament in Morocco has reached the quarter-final stage, with the eight remaining national teams aiming to win their next games to advance to the semi-finals.
At the end of the group stage, eight players have scored more than one goal and could go on to win the Golden Boot award.
Among the players is Ghana Black Queens midfielder Alice Kusi. The midfielder who has operated on the wings for the Queens at the tournament scored two crucial goals in the group stage, helping her side to finish second in Group C.
She is, however, behind the likes of Ghizlane Chebback (four goals) and Barbra Banda (three goals) in the race for the top scorer’s award.
Kusi will need to keep firing in the knockout stage of the WAFCON to leapfrog the other players in the race for the award.
