Some 18 suspects have been picked up in connection with the killing of 11 persons in Wa in the Upper West Region.
The suspects were rounded up from various locations in the region by the Upper West Regional Police Command.
A principal state attorney at the Upper West regional office of the Attorney General’s Department, Saeed Abdu-Shakur, told Citi FM that eight of the suspects have been granted bail by the Wa circuit court.
However, according to him, the remaining 10 have been remanded into police custody for further investigations into the killings that occurred in Wa in the last nine months.
Already, the police had announced a GH¢100,000 bounty on persons behind the killings in Wa.
Police have special purpose intelligence and investigation teams working with members of the community.
