Volunteer information of people to help fight COVID-19- N/R Immigration Service

The public affairs unit of the Northern regional command of the Ghana immigration service is making a passionate appeal to the general public, to volunteer information about people who arrived in the northern region from the 3rd to the 23rd of March 2020.

This is in line with activities towards the fight of the deadly coronavirus pandemic that has claimed over thousands of innocent lives worldwide.

The exercise is a collaborative effort between the Comptroller General of the Ghana immigration Service and the Ghana Health Service to coordinate and identify such individuals in order to assess their health conditions with regards the novel corona virus.

This was contained in a statement copied to fiilanews and signed by the Northern Regional public affairs officer of the Ghana Immigration Service, ICO Christian Kobla Kekeli Zilevu.

Benevolent citizens who wish to volunteer information of people who arrived in the region within the speculated period should kindly visit the regional immigration office at the police headquarters or call 0246543175.

Meanwhile the service is assuring the general public that the initiative is only aimed at ensuring the safety of the people in the region and not to intimidate or harass any foreigner in the country.
