The objective is to qualify for the group stage – Karim Zito on Asante Kotoko’s Confederation Cup campaign
Interim Asante Kotoko coach, Abdul Karim Zito, has called for intensified preparation ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup campaign next season.

The Porcuoine Warriors secured a ticket to compete in the CAF interclub competition after winning the 2024/25 FA Cup title.
Kotoko recorded a hard-fought 2-1 win against lower-tier side Golden Kick FC to clinch their FA Cup title.
Ahead of their Confederation Cup campaign, Zito, who replaced Prosper Narteh Ogum, has charged the leadership to ensure there is enough preparation.
According to the former Black Satellites head coach, they can achieve the aim by qualifying for the group phase of the competition with an intense preparation.
“We will prepare well for Africa. We will bring in some players to improve the team,” he said.
“I played seven matches with this team and I am able to determine where we have to improve, and if we are able to do that, we will achieve our objective by playing in the group phase of the CAF Confederation Cup,” Zito added.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko are yet to make a decision on the future of Abdul Karim Zito following the conclusion of the season.
