School Soccer: Sekondi College crowned champions in Sekondi Zone; Adiembra SHS retain Girls’ title
Sekondi College edged defending champions Adiembra SHS 1-0 on Friday, 9 May 2025 to be crowned Boys’ champions for the Sekondi Zone of the Western Region Schools and Colleges Sports Federation.
A second-half strike separated the two sides at Gyandu Park.
The result underlined SEKCO’s strength this year after accounting for ADISEC 3-2 in their final Group B match to finish top.

Adiembra SHS had lost their semi-final match but got to play in the final after their conquerors Shama SHS lost a protest for fielding unqualified players.
In the Boys’ third-place match, Daboase Senior High Technical School won the bronze medal thanks to a 5-4 penalty shootout victory over Shama SHS after drawing 1-1 in regulation time.
In the Girls’ final, ADISEC retained their crown as zonal champions after battering Fijai SHS 3-0.

Two outstanding performers for Adiembra were Olivia Minah (Form 1 General Arts) and No.10 shirted Christabel Arthur, also of Hasaacas Ladies (Form 2 Visual Arts).
Shama SHS took the bronze medal after downing Ahantaman Girls SHS 2-0.
