Mpox cases now 735 – Ghana Health Service

Ghana has so far recorded 735 cases of Mpox.

According to the Ghana Health Service situational report, as of 14th October 2025, 22 new cases were recorded, with death toll remaining three.

Already, the Service is rolling a 21-day vaccination campaign in selected districts within the Western Region- the disease hot spot.

Mpox spreads mainly through close contact with someone who has the infection.

The general public is encouraged to protect themselves and others by maintaining good hygiene and reporting any symptoms such as Fever, Rash, Headache, Muscle aches, swollen lymph nodes, Chills, Tiredness.

Ghana continues to record a hike in Mpox infections.

According to the situational report by the Ghana Health Service on October 7, three deaths have so far been recorded with one person on admission as of September 28.

Some 20,000 doses of the vaccine were deployed to the Western Region on Saturday, October 4.

The intervention is to complement current efforts at containing the spread of the disease in the country.
