Medeama SC to swoop for Asante Kotoko targeted midfielder

The 24-year-old diminutive winger is an inch away from joining the former FA Cup champions in the just opened transfer window in the Ghanaian domestic  top-flight, according to reports in the local media

Medeama Sporting Club are on the verge of signing former WAFA nimble footed winger Zakaria Mumuni on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Dr Congo heavyweights AS Vita Club this term.

The talented speedster, who joined the Kinshasa-based club from Aduana Stars last season, could finalise his move to the Tarkwa-based side in the coming days as talks of negotiation between both parties have reached its advanced stage.

Should the 24-year-old attacking midfielder join the Akoon Park outfit this term, the move would become a big blow to fellow top-flight rivals Asante Kotoko given their hot pursuit of his services for the rest of the ongoing league campaign.

Before ending his stint with Dr Congo, the former WAFA widesman made 12 appearances in both CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup competitions for the Kinshasa-based club.
