Kamaldeen Sulemana still needs to be developed – Atalanta manager Ivan Juric
Atalanta BC head coach Ivan Juric beleives Kamaldeen Sulemana still needs to be developed, insisting he is not a finished article.
The Ghana international joined the Serie A side on a long-term deal from Southampton.
Sulemana featured in Atalanta’s friendly game with the U-23 side in a friendly game as part of their preparations for the upcoming season.
Speaking after the game, Juric described the former Stade Rennes player as an unfinished product.
“Today, he showed some good things, acceleration and shots. In my opinion, he is a guy who needs to be developed. He is not a finished player, but he really wants to grow,” Juric told Atlanta media.
Sulemana is widely seen as a direct replacement for Ademola Lookman should the Nigerian international forward leave Atalanta for Inter Milan this summer.
Atalanta will open their 2025/26 season against Pisa on August 24.
