It never hurts me – Ghana midfielder Kwasi Sibo opens up on criticism

Ghana international Kwasi Sibo says criticism has never affected him despite coming under scrutiny since debuting for the Black Stars.

The defensive midfielder, who was included in Ghana’s final 26-man squad for the tournament, admitted he has faced plenty of criticism but insists it has only strengthened his resolve.

Sibo featured for the Black Stars during the 2026 World Cup and was among the players who attracted criticism following Ghana’s performances at the tournament.

However, the midfielder says negative comments have never discouraged him.

“Criticism is normal. I have been criticised a lot, but it never hurts me,” Sibo told 3Sports.

Following the conclusion of Ghana’s World Cup campaign, Sibo has returned home to spend time in the country before beginning preparations for the 2026/27 season.

The midfielder is now weighing up his next move as interest in his services continues to grow.

Sibo revealed that clubs from the English Premier League and the Saudi Pro League have already made approaches as he considers the next step in his career.

“I am ready to play in the Champions League. I have offers from the Premier League and the Saudi League,” he added.
