MTN Ghana Sponsor Training of PWDs in Business Management

InnoHUB, with support from MTN Ghana and Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited, has organized a two-day business training program for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the Northern Region.
Madam Adwoa Ackonor, Manager in charge of Enterprise Business at MTN Ghana, reaffirmed MTN’s commitment to inclusivity through its Ambition 2025 strategy.
“Supporting the training of Persons with Disabilities aligns with our goal of creating a more inclusive digital and business ecosystem. By providing entrepreneurial and digital skills training, we are helping PWDs unlock opportunities, grow their businesses, and fully participate in the economy. Everyone deserves the benefits of a modern connected life,” she stated.
She added that MTN is also exploring post-training support, including continuous mentorship, capacity building, and access to business networks, to ensure that PWDs sustain and scale their enterprises.

Participants received training in entrepreneurship, financial literacy—including current and savings accounts—branding, marketing, and other essential business skills.
Speaking at the event, King David Amo, Corporate Communications and Marketing Lead at InnoHUB, said the initiative is designed to unlock the entrepreneurial talent of PWDs.

“This program is supporting 50 PWDs as part of 100 entrepreneurs who will be supported each year over the next five years. We know that PWDs represent a large pool of entrepreneurial activity and economic value. With MTN fully sponsoring this project, we are equipping them with the requisite skills, training, and funding to grow their businesses,” he said.
He further explained that while MTN is funding the PWD entrepreneurship program, Fidelity Bank is investing in youth-led agribusiness ventures nationwide.
