Ghana striker Jerry Afriyie has intensified his pre-season training with Saudi Arabian side Al-Qadsiah, as preparations ramp up ahead of the 2025–26 campaign.

The 18-year-old prodigy, widely regarded as one of Ghana’s most promising football talents, has joined his teammates at Al-Qadsiah’s European training base in Venlo, the Netherlands.
Under the watchful eye of head coach José Miguel González MartÃn del Campo, popularly known as MÃchel, Afriyie is undergoing a rigorous fitness and tactical programme designed to sharpen the squad ahead of a crucial season.
Afriyie is coming off a stellar breakthrough year, where he impressed both at the international level with Ghana’s Black Stars and youth side, the Black Satellites, and in Europe with Spanish side CD Lugo. While on loan at Lugo, he established himself as a key attacking threat, showcasing flair, maturity, and a consistent eye for goal that drew attention from scouts and pundits alike.
The club has mapped out an intensive pre-season schedule spanning the Netherlands, Spain, and England, as they gear up for domestic and international challenges.
As he continues to evolve into a key figure for club and country, Jerry Afriyie’s return marks a significant boost for Al-Qadsiah, who will be hoping to build on last season’s momentum and compete for silverware in 2025–26.
