Ghana forward Jordan Ayew donates to Liberian orphanage ahead of Sudan game

Black Stars and Leicester City forward, Jordan Ayew, has made donations to a Liberian orphanage following his return to Ghana.

The striker was in Accra for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan last Thursday and took the opportunity to give back to society.

Ayew, through his team, made donation of several essential items to the children’s home including bags of rice, oil, cooking and sanitary products. The donation is expected to help cater for the children who are without parents.

Meanwhile, the 33-year-old and his Black Stars teammates have arrived in Libya for their must-win Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan in Benghazi.

The 104-time capped forward is expected to play a leading role on the pitch as the Black Stars chase a first win in the qualifiers.

Anything short of a positive result could end Ghana’s hopes of returning to the Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Morocco next year.
