The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee has charged Nsoatreman Football Club for failing to control its supporters during their match against Asante Kotoko.
Matchweek 19 of the Ghana Premier League ended in tragedy for Kotoko on Sunday, February 2, 2025, following their defeat, the death of renowned supporter Nana Pooley, and incidents of hooliganism at the Nana Konamansah Park in Nsoatre.
The unfortunate events have cast a shadow over the league.
In response, the GFA has charged Nsoatreman for its inability to control supporters who engaged in violent acts, including throwing missiles onto the pitch, invading the field of play, assaulting an away player, attacking members of the GFA’s authorized media partner, and destroying property belonging to both the visiting team and the media partner.
Nsoatreman FC has until Wednesday, February 5, 2025, to respond to the charges.
