Former GFA spokesperson Tamimu Issah calls for holistic approach to fix Black Stars woes
Former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Tamimu Issah has urged Ghanaians to be patient while advocating for a holistic approach to fix Black Stars woes.
Ghana, who are four-time winners of the Africa Cup of Nations endured a terrible run in the recently concluded qualifiers. The team succumbed to three defeats and three draws in six games.
With three points, the Black Stars finished bottom of Group F and will for the first time in 20-years miss the tournament to be staged in Morocco.
“The Black Stars is not functioning the way we all want. Everyone in the country is worried about the recent happenings. Fortunately for us, the international calendar has ended. The next international fixture is in March so we all have to be patient and address holistic issues” he said.
The Black Stars will aim to put up an improved performance when they face Chad and Madagascar in March 2025 in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Meanwhile, the future of Otto Addo, who is the head coach of the team, is yet to be decided by the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association.
