Fatawu Issahaku pledges Leicester City fans strong comeback after Man United defeat
Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has promised Leicester City fans a strong turnaround after their defeat to Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Foxes, who returned to the English topflight this season after winning the championship, have had a mixed start to the campaign.
Sunday’s loss to United was their fifth of the season in 11 matches. The King Power outfit has won only two games, including the comeback victory over Southampton. A match Issahaku starred in after coming from the bench to change the game.
Despite expressing disappointment after the defeat at Old Trafford, Issahaku remains positive ahead of the international break.
“So sad not to get something out of this game, we will get back together as a team to go harder and make things better. Thanks to the travelling fans for their amazing support,” he wrote.
Issahaku will be travelling to Ghana for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger this week.
