Ernest Ofori and other transitioned starlets give hope to Ghana ahead of 2026 CAF U17 tourney
Midfielder Ernest Ofori leads a list of youngsters who have transitioned from the National U15 team to the Black Starlets squad for the 2026 African U17 Cup of Nations.

The Great Somas playmaker was shown tremendous progression alongside the likes of Joseph Narbi and Mark Kagawa who featured at the 2023 UEFA U16 Development Tournament.
Six months ago, he was in Yamoussoukro, Cote D’Ivoire for the WAFU Zone B U17 Boys Championship.
Under the tutelage of Head Coach Prosper Nartey he was named deputy captain.
Ghana are in Group D alongside Senegal, South Africa and Algeria for the 13 May- 2 June tournament in Morocco.
The tournament, which serves as a pathway to the FIFA U-17 World Cup, will see Ghana return to the continental stage after an eight-year absence.
