Thomas Partey is progressing well – Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta

Arsenal's manager, Mikel Arteta, has provided an update on the team's injuries. Thomas Partey is progressing well and has begun training on the field.

Unfortunately, ahead of their match against Liverpool, the 30-year-old midfielder suffered a setback.

He’s been out of action since October 2023 when he was injured during a training session before their Champions League match against Sevilla.

During the pre-match conference before their game against Burnley at Turf Moor, Arteta confirmed that Partey’s recovery is on track and he’s back on the field.

However, Jurrien Timber and Thomas Partey are still long-term absentees, although there is hope for their return soon.

“Some of them have been progressing better than others,” Arteta said when asked for an update on the team’s injuries. “We have a training session again today. Some of them have done a few bits this week, and I am positive that we will have a few back for tomorrow.”

Regarding the completely ruled-out players for tomorrow’s match, Arteta said, “At the moment, no.”

He also provided a positive update on those who have been out for a longer period, stating, “No, there’s not big setbacks on any of those injuries, and Thomas Partey is progressing really well. I don’t want to say too much, but he’s looking very good, and he’s already on the field.”
