NPP’s new national executives pay courtesy call on Kufuor

The newly elected national executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), led by National Chairman John Boadu, have paid a courtesy call on former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

The visit was to formally introduce the new leadership of the party to the former President and seek his counsel and guidance as they begin their tenure.

Mr Boadu, in a post on Facebook on Thursday, October 8, 2026, said the delegation valued the opportunity to engage the former President, describing his experience and understanding of the NPP’s history and traditions as important to the party’s new leadership.

“Today, I had the distinct honour of leading our newly elected National Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on a courtesy call on His Excellency John Agyekum Kufuor, former President of the Republic of Ghana and a revered statesman of our Party,” he said.

He said the executives listened to Mr Kufuor’s words of wisdom and reflected on the responsibilities associated with leading the party at what he described as a critical moment.

“As a new leadership, we are committed to building on the Party’s rich history, strengthening our unity, deepening our structures, and working tirelessly to restore the NPP to electoral victory,” Mr Boadu added.

The courtesy call forms part of engagements by the newly elected executives as they assume responsibility for the party’s national administration.
