NADCO to embark on revenue mobilization phase 3 in Northern Ghana.

The Northern Electricity Distribution company in a press release on friday has revealed that they would be embarking on a revenue mobilization exercise in its operational areas effective December 1.

The exercise would covers all categories including state owned enterprise, ministries, Department and Agencies as well as metropolitan, municipal and District Assemblies in Northern Ghana.

The exercises which is aimed at enhancing the revenue collection of the company according to the release would afford the company the opportunity to deal, and monitor customers who sign payment agreement with NADCO as well as deal with recalcitrant’s customer who have refused to redeem the indebtedness to the company after being served notice of disconnection.

However, the release further stated that measures have been put in place to implement the newly approved electricity tariffs recently announced by the Public utilities regulatory commission (PURC).

The new tariffs takes effect from Friday December 1, 2023. All categories of customers will experience a 1.52% reduction in the cost of power.

Management further apologized to customers on smart prepaid customers that the implementation of the PURC approved electricity tariffs for the period starting December 1, will run into some challenges specifically on  smart pre payment meters for all categories of customers.
