KIC train Women Entrepreneurs in the Northern Sector

The Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC) in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation (MCF) has organized a Women’s Bootcamp for businesses in the five regions of the north.

The program which aims to help young women identify the opportunities in the whole value chain of agribusiness and take advantage of them, brought together business startups from the Northern, North East,Upper East, Upper West and the Savanna Regions.

This skills put together by KIC is to help beneficiaries understand what they can be able to do in staying productive at all times.

In an interview with FiilaNews, Mr. Benjamin Gyan-Kesse, Executive Director of KIC noted that interest of young women in agribusiness begun to dwindle some 4years ago which they saw as threatening hence the need to educate these young ones to rebuild the interest.

More so, KIC also seeks to motivate upcoming startups about what they are capable of doing to stay active in any business beyond agribusiness.

He thus encouraged a lot more businesses to take advantage of the KIC training program, to help add more value to their businesses or even get free consultation to restructure their businesses.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to FiilaNews expressed gratitude for the opportunity as the whole training will go a long way to help build them and their businesses.

Another beneficiary Madam Wendy Bagoli from Golu in the upper west region, told FiilaNews the Kosmos Innovation Center training has given her the techniques and skills to make her business more scalable and also be able to pitch her business for donor support at no cost at all.

She is therefore calling on other businesses to take advantage of the KIC and MCF training program which is for free to bring some improvement to their businesses.
