NPP Flagbearer aspirant, Ken Ohene Agyapong, has charged young people to embrace vision, courage, integrity, and humility as guiding principles for success, stressing that job creation must remain the ultimate goal of entrepreneurship.
Speaking at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri- USA, Mr. Agyapong explained that wealth creation and national development could only be sustained when young people move beyond rhetoric and focus on generating employment opportunities.
The outspoken former legislator and entrepreneur outlined what he termed the “7 Determinants of a Successful Person in Business,” which he said should serve as a blueprint for aspiring entrepreneurs.
“Every successful journey starts with a clear vision. Dream big beyond your current situation and set ambitious goals that will inspire you to push further,” he told the students, emphasizing that vision is the bedrock of achievement.
He noted that courage and foresight are equally essential, urging participants to take calculated risks and anticipate future opportunities. According to him, no entrepreneur can achieve success by playing it safe.
On the subject of ethics, Mr. Agyapong stressed that integrity remains the foundation of lasting success. “Trust is the foundation of business. Without integrity, your achievements will be short-lived,” he said.
Financial discipline also featured prominently in his lecture. He advised students to adopt a culture of savings and prudent investment, pointing out that this practice not only ensures stability but also multiplies resources for future growth.
Rounding off his seven principles, Mr. Agyapong urged the youth never to lose sight of humility even in the face of success. He explained that humility attracts loyalty, fosters collaboration, and opens the door to continuous learning.
He further reaffirmed his belief that the next generation must be equipped not only with academic knowledge but also with practical tools for creating opportunities.
