“I feel a little sorry for Ghana”- Germany U20 coach Hannes Wolf after hammering Black Satellites
Germany U20 coach Hannes Wolf says he felt sorry for Ghana's Black Satellites after his side's 5-0 thrashing of the former world champions.

The Black Satellites, who are preparing for the upcoming WAFU Zone B U20 Championship in Togo, were walloped by the Germans, with Ilyas Ansah of Ghanaian descent netting twice.
The team is expected to arrive in Ghana this week before travelling to Lomé for the Africa U20 Cup of Nations qualification tournament.
Wolf was impressed by the performance of his team but admitted the Black Satellites struggled because of the wet nature of the pitch, with most of their players not having studs boots.
“It was a very successful conclusion to the event,” said DFB coach Wolf. “We had good games against Poland and before that. We simply have good players, many of whom are already playing professionally.
“You can see that. Today, Ghana was overwhelmed by us. I felt a little sorry about the wet pitch because they didn’t have studs on – it was slippery. But the way we played, especially in the first half, was remarkable. It was a really good performance.”
The Black Satellites have been drawn in Group A of the WAFU Zone B U20 championship alongside host Togo, Benin and Niger. The 2021 Africa U20 champions can qualify for the main tournament by finishing as one of the best two teams in Togo.
