Ghanaian goalkeeper Razak Abalora departs Albanian club AF Elbasani
Ghanaian goalkeeper Razak Abalora has parted ways with Albanian Superliga side AF Elbasani following an early termination of his contract, making him a free agent ahead of the summer transfer window.

The former Asante Kotoko shot-stopper reportedly left the club on the back of an internal disagreement, though specific details surrounding the fallout remain unclear.
Abalora joined the newly-promoted Elbasani ahead of the 2024-25 season and quickly established himself as their first-choice goalkeeper, racking up 33 appearances across all competitions.
He conceded 30 goals and kept 11 clean sheets – a decent return for a side battling to stabilize in the Albanian top flight.
His early exit has sparked transfer rumours, with his former club Asante Kotoko said to be monitoring his situation closely and eyeing a reunion as they prepare for the 2025-26 Ghana Premier League season.
Kotoko are currently rebuilding their squad and view Abalora’s experience and quality as an ideal fit for their ambitions.
Abalora, a graduate of WAFA SC, has had spells in Moldova with FC Sheriff Tiraspol – where he featured in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers – and FC Petrocub Hincesti before his move to Albania.
He has four senior caps with the Ghana national team and remains a respected figure in Ghanaian football circles.
His next move could be crucial as he seeks a fresh challenge to reignite his career.
