Former Hearts of Oak star Torric Jebrin regrets not altering age earlier in career

Former Hearts of Oak winger Torric Jebrin regrets not adjusting his age at the start of his football journey, describing it as a major setback in his career progression.

Speaking to Gil Media, Jebrin revealed that his current age has become a stumbling block in securing opportunities at the top level.

“I’m still playing and I want to continue for the next two to three years,” he said. “Just that my age. I didn’t work on the age at the beginning. If I mention my age and you see me playing, you’d say, ‘No, no, I should be 22.'”

He disclosed that he is 32 years old, but believes this figure is considered too advanced for an African player aiming to remain competitive professionally.

“I didn’t get the support or management that could manage my things well,” he added.

However, available public data suggests Jabrin was born on January 14, 1991, which would make him 34.

Jebrin’s career has taken him across several countries, including stints with Trabzonspor, TP Mazembe, Al Masry, and others.
