Complement Gov’ts Efforts to Fight Covid-19-N/R GES PRO to Parents

The Public Relations officer of the Ghana Education Service (GES) in the Northern Region Mr Kanzoni Awaala Donald, has urged parents and guardian to complement government’s effort in the fight against the novel Corona Virus as children return to school.

He admonished parents to educate their wards on the need to observe the safety protocols to help create a congenial atmosphere for teaching and learning during these trying times.

The President of the republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in his 21st address to the nation announced that schools should resume this month, after they were closed down on 15 March 2020 over an outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In an interview with FiilaNews Monday 18th Jan 2021, Mr. Awaala Donald revealed that official academic work will resume tomorrow Tuesday 19th January 2021.

He further added that, the Northern Regional minister together with some Government officials will be visiting some selected schools in the region to welcome the students, as their “first day in school”.

Meanwhile Mr. Awaala Donald assures that, the Ghana Education Service (GES) is putting efforts in place to ensure the safety of the student’s whiles in school.
