CLOGSAG directs members to disregard disputed appointments

The Acting President of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG), Benjamin Otoo, has directed regional and district executives to disregard and refrain from implementing purported appointments whose validity is currently before the High Court.
Mr Otoo said the disputed appointments should not be recognised or acted upon until the court determines the matter.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, the Office of the Acting President said the High Court has scheduled a date to determine the dispute.
“Accordingly, all Regional Executives, District Executives and members are urged to disregard and refrain from implementing any notices, directives or administrative actions arising from the purported appointments until the Court has pronounced on the matter,” the statement said.
Mr Otoo further urged regional and district executives not to recognise the appointments, stressing that their validity remains subject to the court’s determination.
He called on members to remain calm and law-abiding while respecting the judicial process.
The Acting President said his office remains committed to protecting the institutional integrity, property and collective interests of CLOGSAG.
He also urged all stakeholders to exercise restraint as the legal process unfolds.
“Let the court determine the matter,” Mr Otoo said.
