Care for Women Ministry Donates Assorted Items to Nyohini Children’s Home

The Care for Women Ministry has extended a hand of compassion to the Nyohini Children’s Home in Tamale with a donation of assorted items, as part of its mission to bring comfort to orphans and vulnerable children.
The items, which included biscuits, baby diapers, toiletries, and other essentials, were presented by the Chief Executive Officer of the ministry, Reverend Sarah Yamusah-Azeka.

Speaking during the presentation, Rev. Yamusah-Azeka said the gesture was motivated by biblical teachings that encourage Christians to care for the needy, particularly orphans and widows.

“These children lack many basic necessities, especially diapers and clothing. From time to time, we visit to show them love and let them know they have mother and father figures outside who care about them. Our aim is to give them hope that all is not lost, even though they are without parents,” she said.

She further encouraged other organizations and philanthropists to emulate their example and extend similar support to the orphanage.
Receiving the items, the housemistress of the Nyohini Children’s Home, Madam Zanada Naab, expressed gratitude to the Care for Women Ministry for their generosity.

She assured that the items would be put to good use and appealed to other benevolent individuals and groups to also support the home, stressing that the government alone cannot shoulder the full responsibility of the children’s welfare.
The Care for Women Ministry, according to Rev. Yamusah-Azeka, regularly undertakes such donations as part of its commitment to the biblical call to care for the vulnerable in society.
