Antoinette Kwofie Challenges Youth to Build Legacies at Martha Inspires Foundation Anniversary

Chief Finance Officer of MTN Ghana, Antoinette Kwofie, has challenged young people to take bold steps now to build lasting legacies for themselves and the nation.

Speaking at the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Martha Inspires Foundation and Youth Empowerment Summit 2025, themed “Amplifying Youth Voices, Building Legacies”, Ms. Kwofie urged the youth to stay dedicated to their dreams, believe in themselves, and never give up on education, regardless of their circumstances.

“As the first woman to hold the position of Chief Finance Officer of MTN Ghana, my journey was made possible because I dared to dream and worked towards it. I want the youth to be committed to their goals and make good use of opportunities such as the MTN Skills Academy,” she said.

She emphasized MTN Ghana’s commitment to youth empowerment, noting: “The youth are not just our future, they are our present. The future of this country lies in your hands. Where we go as a nation depends on what the youth do today.”

Other speakers at the event also stressed the importance of using youthful energy for positive impact.

The Head Pastor of Assembly of God Wind and Fire, Rev. Aaron Lambton Fant, encouraged the youth to use their voices to influence change in schools, communities, and society. He urged them to avoid distractions and instead inspire, motivate, and build strong networks among themselves.

Founder of Martha Inspires Foundation, Martha Anabella, reflected on her journey, recalling that her vision a decade ago was to create a platform for amplifying voices.

“Today is a testament to the change we have made together. Legacy isn’t about what we leave behind, but the impact we create,” she said.

She encouraged parents to support their children’s aspirations and presented awards to outstanding students and sponsors of the foundation’s initiatives.

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority, Mr. Inusah Mahama, speaking on behalf of the CEO, reminded the youth that their voices and dreams are powerful tools for national development. “With young people making up 67% of Ghana’s population, your voices must be heard. Nurture your dreams to contribute meaningfully to society,” he said.

The event, which brought together students, youth leaders, and stakeholders, reinforced the crucial role of young people in shaping Ghana’s future.
