Access Bank and Partners hold interactive series with SMEs in Tamale.

The northern regional chapter of the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA), has describe the access bank business interactive series organized for businesses in Tamale, as timely and of prominence to the growth of businesses.

Mr. Thomas Addey, N/R secretary of GUTA noted that most businesses are not able to scale up due to their inability to access loan facilities from the various banks.

But the business series outlined what businesses need to do in terms of opening various accounts and having a holistic book keeping records to enable them access to loan facilities from the various banks.

The knowledge acquired according to Mr. Addey, will helpful in boosting northern businesses astronomically when applied in their everday activities.

Speaking to fiilanews, the group head, business banking at access bank, KafuiBimkpe, referred to the SMES as most vulnerable hence their quest to help these businesses thrive.

He noted that the access bank business interactive series is basically to empower SMES to be able to manage their businesses and have access to the skills and tools needed to propel the needed growth.

Mr. Bimkpe added that these businesses after meeting all the necessary book keeping criteria, are properly positioned to receive an interest free loan from access bank plc, up to the tune of GHC 300,000 without any stringent requirement for collateral.

The business interactive series which was organized in partnership with deliotte is targeted at benefiting 10,000 SMEs through the business interactive series across the country within a period of one year.

A partner at Deloitte, KwabenaAntwi Situ, tasked businesses to focus on the three key pillars in busness which is; profit, survival and growth.

Some businesses who spoke to the media expressed appreciation to Access bank plc and deloitte, for the opportunity.
