The town of Bawku has been plunged into mourning once again following the tragic killing of a 13-year-old boy in the Singnatinga-Possum enclave of the township.
The young victim, identified only as Sherif, met his untimely death while tending to livestock near the old cattle market in Bawku.
This heartbreaking incident marks yet another grim chapter in the area’s prolonged conflict, bringing the total number of reported deaths since October to 42.
According to local sources, Sherif was grazing his animals in what was presumed to be a relatively safe area when unknown assailants ambushed him.
