Read drug leaflet for further details -DKT International Manager

Mr. Abdulai Adamu the Ass. General Manager of DKT International, a non-profit, non-governmental organization has urged Ghanaians to adopt the habit of reading drug leaflets to acquire more information of the product and know when to report adverse reactions.

He further urged people who consume medical products to endeavor to report all Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) to either the pharmacy or the Food and Drug Authority (FDA), to help curb any untoward reactions from medicinal products.

Mr. Adamu made this known during a training workshop on Pharmaco Vigilance which centers on how to use various medicinal products appropriately on Wednesday 21st August, 2019 in Tamale.

DKT International as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has brought together operators within the pharmaceutical space to equip them on how to handle cases of ADR from consumers.

The N/R Regulatory Officer FDA, Mr. John Baptist Parley urged customers to patronize genuine medical supplies from registered pharmacies.

This according to him would prevent customers from patronizing expired and substandard medicinal products.

DKT is one of the world’s largest providers of family planning, HIV/AIDS prevention and safe abortion products and services.

They apply private sector marketing techniques, cutting edge technologies and ensure that women and men have the products, knowledge and services they need, when and where they need them. They have offices in 24 countries covering more than 63% of the world’s population.
