Villarreal CF ready to cough up €30 million to sign Abdul Fatawu Issahaku from Leicester City
Spanish La Liga side Villarreal CF have entered the race to sign Ghanaian forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.

The highly rated winger has been a standout performer for Leicester City in the ongoing Championship campaign, contributing five goals and seven assists in 26 appearances for the former Premier League champions.
Premier League sides Sunderland and AFC Bournemouth have already shown strong interest in the former Sporting CP attacker, with Villarreal now emerging as the latest club keen on securing his signature.
The Yellow Submarine reportedly view Fatawu as an ideal fit to reinforce their wide areas, valuing his pace, technical ability and constant attacking threat.
According to reports, Villarreal are prepared to table a bid in the region of €30 million for the 20-year-old, who remains under contract until 2029. Sunderland are also believed to be willing to match that valuation as competition intensifies.
The proposed fee would represent a significant outlay for a Championship-based player, underlining the growing ambition surrounding Fatawu’s profile and potential.
Meanwhile, the Ghana international is expected to be named in the Black Stars squad for the international friendly against Germany scheduled for March later this year.
