Ghana’s home-based stars will begin preparations for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe today (Monday).

Coach Charles “CK ” Akonnor and his assistant David Duncan will supervise Monday’s training session at the La McDan Park.

The Ghanaian gaffer has called up 32-man home-based players to start preparations for the double-header.

They will assemble in the capital on Monday morning to kick-start their camping activities.

Ghana need just a draw against South Africa to secure qualification to the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon next year.

The Black Stars will play the Bafana Bafana at the Nelson Mandela Bay before playing Sao Tome in the last qualifying match at home.
