Rafeela donates Veronica buckets and others to market women

Rafeela an association of women in local government have donated personal protective equipments to some selected market women, to help in the fight against Corona Virus in the country.

The items which consist of Veronica buckets, Soaps, Hand sanitizers and nose mask, were donated to the beneficiaries over the weekend.

 

The president of the Rafeela Ghana chapter Hajia Mariam Iddrisu noted that the gesture is a part of the association’s contribution towards the fight against Covid-19.

The donation was made to some selected markets in Tamale was as well extended to the Nyohani Children’s home.  The beneficiary markets includes; Jisonayili satellite market, Sheshegu Market, Aboabo Grains Markets,Kalpohin Market and the Nyohani Children’s home.

Hajia Mariam who also doubles as the MCE for Sagnarigu Municipality called for support from various organizations and philanthropist to enable Rafeela extend the kind gesture to other parts of the country.

Meanwhile Hajia Alima Sagito-Saeed, wife of the Northern Regional minister who was also present, urged women to take Centre stage of educating their family on the preventive measures.

She further indicated that the fight against Covid-19  is a fight women must lead, hence the need for all women to observe the safety protocols for others to also emulate.
