The Mighty Minority will expose your incompetence no matter the intimidation – Afenyo-Markin tells Majority

The Minority Leader, Alexnader Afenyo-Markin, has said that the Minority in Parliament will press the government to account for all the things that they promised but are unable to deliver.

He told the Majority that the opposition lawmakers will not allow the government to use propaganda to distract them from holding them accountable.

In his final submission on the 2026 budget statement in Parliament on Thursdays November 27, he said “After succeeding in what the Minority will call judicial capture, they are on their way to ensuring electoral commission capture but we tell you one thing, no matter what you will do, no matter the intimidation, we the Mighty Minority, we know that the better days of the country are ahead of us, we will hold your feet to the fire, we will expose your incompetence, all the promises you made that you are unable to fulfill, we will not allow you to use propaganda to distract anybody. We will stay on course and hold you to account for the very things you promised.”

Afenyo-Markin also described the 2026 budget as a “cut-and-paste” compilation.

According to Afenyo-Markin, the document contains multiple errors, including references to ministries that have been scrapped or renamed by the current government.

“How can you, at paragraph 519, claim that there is a Ministry of Railway Development? How can you, at paragraph 528, say there is a Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources, and at paragraph 523 refer to a Ministry of Works and Housing?” he questioned.
