Speaker Babin was speaking when Parliament held a media soiree and recognition night to show appreciation to members of the Parliamentary Press Corps on Saturday, December 20.
He highlighted the need for ongoing collaboration between Parliament and the media to enhance public understanding of governance. He reinforced the media’s watchdog role in holding Parliament accountable, while acknowledging the challenges faced by journalists, including misinformation and the pressure for unbiased reporting.
