Kotoko v Hearts: London prepares for Independence match on March 7

Organizers have stepped up preparations ahead of the historic Independence match between Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak in London on March 7.

The game is to commemorate the nation’s 63rd Independence Anniversary.

Though both Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko played in the UK against English oppositions in 1969 and 1970, this will be the first time the two Ghanaian giants are facing off against each other away from the traditional settings at the Barnet Stadium

Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed it sanctioned the game due to its national nature in commemorating Ghana’s independence and has received the blessing of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The much-anticipated clash is being organized by Proball International Limited, HRH Sports Consultancy Ltd., GFA, Ghana Tourism Authority, Visit Ghana, Beyond The Return & Access Media are part of the organizing team
