Medeama President Moses Armah urges players to stay grounded despite Premier League lead
Medeama SC President Moses Armah has urged the club’s players to remain focused and humble despite their impressive position at the summit of the Ghana Premier League at the end of the first round.

The Mauve and Yellow capped a strong first half of the 2025/26 season with a narrow 1–0 victory over Hearts of Oak at the TnA Stadium on Sunday, a result that ensured they finished top of the table with a two-point advantage over second-placed Bibiani Gold Stars.
Medeama’s consistency has been a standout feature of their campaign, with the Tarkwa-based side extending their unbeaten run to 14 matches, longest stretch in the top-flight in over two decades. However, President Moses Armah has cautioned against complacency, stressing that the team’s work is far from complete.
“There is more room for improvement. We are not yet a finished article and we have a lot of work to do in the second round,” Armah told GHANAsoccernet.com from his base in Tarkwa.
He emphasised the importance of maintaining focus as the season enters its decisive phase.
“The boys are aware of what is at stake, so we will continue to take it one match after the other. The second round is always the most difficult part of the campaign, and we have to stay grounded and not get carried away,” he added.
Armah also called on the club’s supporters to continue backing the team as they chase their ultimate objective.
“We are far from reaching our ultimate goal, and I urge our fans to continue with their prayers and support for the team,” he said.
Medeama now turn their attention to a busy week at the TnA Stadium, where Ibrahim Tanko’s side will face Bibiani Gold Stars in the MTN FA Cup Round of 32 on Wednesday before hosting Young Apostles in the Premier League on Sunday.
