Asante Kotoko striker, Kwame Opoku has revealed that he declined a bumper offer to join Medeama SC.

The lanky forward made a return to the Ghana Premier League in the later part of the first half of the ongoing 2024/25 season after stints in Algeria and Morocco.
Speaking in an interview, Opoku revealed that the president of Medeama, Moses Armah offered him a juicy offer but he declined and decided to return to his former side.
“Medeama SC president, Moses Armah offered me a three-time better deal than what Asante Kotoko offered me but I declined and decided to join Kotoko,” he told Asempa FM.
“Kotoko is the club that I have always wanted to play for so I decided to make a return,” he added.
Kwame Opoku has so far scored five goals in four games for the Porcupine Warriors since his return to the club on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
