It will be his last moments with us – Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola confirms Antoine Semenyo’s move to Manchester City
AFC Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola has hailed Antoine Semenyo’s dramatic late winner against Tottenham Hotspur as a fitting farewell, admitting the winger has likely played his final game for the club.

The Ghana international cut an emotional figure after scoring deep into stoppage time to seal a thrilling 3-2 victory for the Cherries at the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday.
As he left the pitch, Semenyo was warmly applauded by supporters, a moment that appeared to underline the significance of the occasion.
Semenyo is expected to complete a move to Manchester City later today, with the deal reportedly activating a £65 million release clause.
“That was a lovely [moment] for Antoine,” Iraola said. “Sometimes football gives you these things. He has been top, he has given everything and been committed until the end. I think it is good that football gives him back this moment.
“There are still formalities [in his transfer]. I’m afraid to say because I don’t want to lose him, but that looks like it will be his last moments with us.”
Reflecting on Semenyo’s influence since arriving from Bristol City two years ago, Iraola was effusive in his praise, describing him as one of the finest players he has worked with.
“A top professional,” Iraola continued. “We are not [only] losing an incredible player but one of the best players I have ever coached. He is a top guy, so full of energy and ready for whatever you need him. I am sure he will continue his development because he has improved every season with us.”
Semenyo has enjoyed an impressive campaign, scoring 10 goals in 19 appearances for Bournemouth so far this season.
