Prosper Narteh Ogum credits Manhyia for Asante Kotoko’s rejuvenated form

Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum says their visit to the Manhyia Palace has been the reason for the rejuvenated form of the club.

The Porcupine Warriors have picked four points in their last two games after picking just one in the previous seven games.

After torrid performances in the second half of the campaign, the team led by its management members visited Manhyia Palace at the invitation of club owner, Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II.

This, Narteh Ogum believes has helped them turn things around and the move was a timely intervention.

“No one in this world will meet the King and the King will talk to him and he will disobey the King, so I think it is good we went to Manhyia to listen to some pieces of advice from the King, from the owner, from the landlord so I think it is good and I think it is doing the trick for,” he said.

“We want to thank the King for his timely intervention, we are grateful to him and to the supporters and Asanteman and if this support continues, I think the face of the team will change,” he added.

Asante Kotoko managed to get a point against defending champions, Medeama Sporting Club in Tarkwa over the weekend.

The Reds will host Legon Cities in the Matchday 29 games at the Baba Yara Stadium this weekend.
