Ghana Week DC Select Side to Face D.C. United after Kotoko visa challenges
D.C. United and Ghana Week DC have announced changes to the Capital City Africa Cup, set for Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Audi Field.

Kotoko, who qualified for the match will not be represented due to visa issues, as a result, Ghana will be represented by a called “Ghana Week DC Select Side.”
This revised squad will feature seven Asante Kotoko players, two from Attram De Visser FC, and other top Ghanaian players based in the U.S.
The event, a highlight of DC Ghana Week, aims to celebrate and promote Ghanaian tourism, culture, and sports in the DMV area, strengthening ties between Ghana, the U.S., and the African diaspora.
Organized by the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the match will showcase the rich cultural heritage of Ghana while fostering unity through sport.
Kick-off is at 6 p.m., with D.C. United taking on the Ghana Week DC Select Side in what promises to be an exciting cultural celebration.
