Former Ghana U23 forward Samuel Obeng Gyabaa joins Albacete Balompie

Ghanaian forward Samuel Obeng Gyabaa has completed his move to Spanish Segunda Division side Albacete Balompie. 

The 28-year-old signed a one-and-a-half year deal to join Albacete in the winter transfer window.

The experience forward arrives after a short spell at AD Ceuta, where he made eight appearances and scored a goal during his three months stay.

He is expected to play a vital role at the club as they battle for survival in the second division.

Obeng Gyabaa has rich experience playing in Spain’s lower tiers, having represented several clubs including Real Oviedo, where he is fondly remembered for his goal-scoring prowess.

He has made 172 appearances in La Liga 2, scoring 21 goals while playing for Oviedo, Girona and Huesca.

Obeng Gyabaa’s first game for Albacete Balompie will be in the Copa Del Rey game against Real Madrid on Wednesday evening.
